‘explore the old town from where all Nepal got united into one country’

Tour of ancient Gorkha town and Palace fort, located Nepal Mid West at the height from above 12,00 m to 1,600 m high as it varies from one place to another, a place with warm and cool meditearrein climate famous for mandarin orange and historical palace and forts of Shah dynasty.

Travel to Gorkha with about 145 k.m distance drive from the capital Kathmandu, and on route Pokhara, leaving the main highway after few hour drive then heading high to reach then ancient Gorkha town. Gorkha, a hill town and a bazaar the ancestral home of Shah Dynasty who ruled Nepal till 20th Century, just few past decades, where earlier King Prithvi Narayan Shah started his conquest of whole Nepal and its various small kingdoms. Since then from 17th  Century onward unified all tiny kingdoms of Nepal into one country to this day.

Located above one thousand feet above Gorkha Bazaar, the palace dominates the surroundings and is visible from all around the area. The palace also boasts beautiful architecture.Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the palace premises, it is worthwhile walking up the stairs for the view.
